Here are a few tips to make sure that remains the case:

  • Make sure the person who set it up for you is a legitimate HVAC technician (that means a full license; no half-steppin!)
  • Keep a copy of the User Manual close by so you can refer to it often, as it contains detailed instructions for daily use and routine maintenance (that means don’t lose it!)
  • Also keep a copy of the invoice that came with the unit; if you ordered it online, keep a copy of the packing list that accompanied the shipment as well
  • Register the unit IMMEDIATELY upon receiving it in order to ensure that you get all of those lovely warranty benefits. You really don’t want to miss out on those!

  • Well, if you haven’t registered your unit, you won’t be able to! Make sure you register it as soon as you receive it. Furthermore, double check to see if your unit is still even under warranty at this point in time.

SUBMITTAL SHEET and SPECIFICATIONS: WHAT YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE

  • You can’t start a project without knowing exactly what you need to complete it fully and safely. That’s where the submittal sheet comes in. Those may sound like stange, technical words, and that’s okay. Don’t panic. Here is our one-stop resource for all things related to submittal sheets. Need to know the specs of a unit or part? WARRANT REGISTRATION: WAIT,.HOW DO I REGISTER THIS THING, AGAIN?

  • Oh, it ain’t too hard; just fill out our handy-dandy Warranty Registration form with the following information:
    • Product model number
    • Product serial number
    • Part that’s giving you grief and probably needs to be replaced
    • Your favorite pizza topping (bonus points if it’s broccolini)
