Main Advantages

Zoned Heating and Cooling Provides Savings in Utility Bills:

With a Payless Mini Split systems, you only use what you need.  A main advantage of mini splits are their small size and flexibility allowing for comfort zoning in individual rooms or areas. Payless Mini Split models can have as many as five indoor air handling units (for five zones or rooms) connected to one outdoor unit. The number of zones depends on how much heating or cooling is required for the building or each zone.  Since each of the zones has its own thermostat, you can select the zone to condition as needed.  Individual room heating and cooling saves energy and money.

Easy Installation Saves Installation Costs:

  • Three Main Parts are Easy to Install:  Payless Mini Split systems have easy installation resulting in savings of installation costs.  The three main parts of mini-split systems are the outdoor condenser, indoor air handler, and the connecting conduit.  The connection between the outdoor and indoor units has an opening of about three inches through a wall or roof for the conduit.  Most mini-split manufacturers provide a variety of lengths of connecting conduits.  The distance between the indoor and outdoor unit can be as far away as 50 feet from the indoor air handler.
  • No Ducts Saves Installation Costs and Reduces Energy Loss: Payless Mini Split systems do not have any ducts.  There are no costs for duct work.  Ductless mini-systems have no energy losses when compared to traditional central air systems with forced ductwork.  Duct work energy losses can account for more than 30% of the totall energy use.
  • Healthier Homes and Businesses:  Without ducts your home or business has less of a chance of diseases related to mold and dust because they cannot accumulate in ducts you don’t have in your building.
  • Flexible Design Options:  Payless Mini Splitsystems offer flexibility in interior design options.
    • Wall or Ceiling Mount: Payless Mini Split indoor air handlers have been suspended from ceilings, put into a drop ceiling, and hung on walls.
    • Floor Mounted:  Floor-standing models are also available.
    • Small Unit Size:  Most indoor units have profiles of about seven inches deep and usually come with sleek, high-tech-looking jackets.
    • Remote or Thermostat Control:  Payless Mini Splitsystems can have a remote control or a thermostat to aid in creative design applications.
